The Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State on Thursday administered the oath of office to two new members of the State Executive Council.
The appointees, Sani Ali-Ahmad and Mannir Sullubawa, represent the Daura and Katsina Senatorial Districts, respectively. Ali-Ahmad previously served as state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, while Sullubawa was the immediate past Director-General of the Katsina State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency (KEWMA).
Their appointments follow confirmation by the Katsina State House of Assembly, which screened and approved them as commissioner-nominees earlier this week.
Speaking at the ceremony in the Red Chamber of the General Muhammadu Buhari Government House, Governor Radda praised the commissioners for their dedication and contributions to the state’s development. He encouraged them to support the administration’s “Building Your Future” initiative and expressed confidence in their integrity and capacity to deliver on government priorities.
After taking the oath of allegiance and office, the commissioners pledged to perform their duties faithfully, loyally, and honestly in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by family members, friends, and well-wishers of the new commissioners.
