Renowned Nigerian singer Adekunle Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has announced that he and his wife, fellow musician Simi, have welcomed twin babies.
The singer shared the joyful news via his Snapchat story on Wednesday, expressing gratitude for the new additions to their family. “Asked God for another child and He blessed me double,” he wrote.
Although the genders of the babies have not yet been disclosed, the announcement sparked an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry.
In December, Simi had earlier hinted at the pregnancy when she shared a video clip on Instagram captioned, “From my baby, for my babies.” In the video, she was seen with a visible baby bump, suggesting that the couple was expecting another child.
The twins’ arrival comes weeks after Simi featured in a snippet of Adekunle Gold’s newly released music video titled My Love Is the Same.
Adekunle Gold and Simi tied the knot in 2019 after years of friendship and musical collaboration. Both artists were formerly signed to X3M Music early in their careers and have since become one of Nigeria’s most celebrated celebrity power couples.
The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko, fondly known as Deja, in May 2020.
