Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State has relieved all his special advisers of their appointments as part of efforts to restructure governance and enhance service delivery in the state.
The announcement was made during the governor’s maiden State Executive Council meeting with newly sworn-in commissioners on Tuesday at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Minna, according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim.
Governor Bago explained that the decision is aimed at repositioning and reshuffling the advisers’ portfolios to boost effectiveness and efficiency in line with his “New Niger” development agenda.
He expressed gratitude to the affected advisers for their dedication, sacrifices, and contributions to the administration’s achievements so far, and wished them success in their future endeavors.
