The Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) is categorised into two broad components: Tax Revenue and Revenue from Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
Tax revenue includes collections from Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE), direct assessment, road taxes, stamp duties, capital gains tax, withholding tax, other taxes, and revenue generated by local governments.
Among these, PAYE accounted for the largest share, contributing ₦1.86 trillion — approximately 69.84% of total tax revenue. In contrast, capital gains tax recorded the lowest contribution at ₦10.57 billion during the reporting period.
