Tinubu approves portfolios for five NCDC executive directors

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the assignment of portfolios to five newly appointed Executive Directors on the board of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC).

This was announced on Monday in Abuja via a statement by Mr. Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

According to the statement, Hajiya Biliquis Jumoke will serve as Executive Director for Administration and Human Resources, while Mrs. Aisha Rufai Ibrahim will oversee Commercial and Industrial Development. Mr. James Abel Uloko has been appointed Executive Director for Corporate Services, and Prof. Muhammad Bashar will be in charge of Finance. Ms. Atika Ajanah will take on the role of Executive Director for Projects.

President Tinubu urged the executive directors to work collaboratively with the governing board of the commission to promote and coordinate sustainable development across the North-Central geopolitical zone.

In a related development, the President also approved the commencement of the process to appoint five new Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service.

The vacancies include two created by the recent retirement of Permanent Secretaries from Imo State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Additionally, three zonal vacancies have arisen in the North-Central, North-East, and South-East due to the creation of new ministries.

The appointments reflect the administration’s ongoing effort to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance governance delivery across key sectors.
