Missing brother of BBNaija twins found unharmed in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, the 33-year-old brother of Big Brother Naija stars Ozee and Ocee Mbadiwe, has been found days after he was declared missing.

The twins had raised the alarm on Wednesday via Instagram, sharing Odera’s photos and noting that he was last seen on Monday morning at Victoria Island, Lagos.

In a statement issued Thursday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, police said Odera was found on Thursday morning in the Mile 2 area following actionable tips from the public.

“The Lagos State Police Command wishes to inform the public that one Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, male, aged 33, earlier reported missing and whose case went viral on social media, has been located by detectives today, September 4, 2025, at about 8:30 a.m.,” the statement read.

Oluseyi explained that the family had officially reported him missing at the Victoria Island Police Division on September 3. He said Odera was found in a distressed state but unharmed and has since been reunited with his family. His vehicle was also recovered during the operation.

“Acting on actionable intelligence and with the support of public-spirited individuals, he was traced to Mile 2, where he was found hale and hearty, though distressed. He has since been reunited with his family and is receiving medical attention and proper care,” Oluseyi added.

The case gained wide attention due to the popularity of the Mbadiwe twins, who featured on Big Brother Naija’s No Loose Guard season. Their social media appeals garnered thousands of shares and were amplified by Nollywood figures such as Ebele Okaro and Juliet Ibrahim.
