The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that its 2025 recruitment portal will reopen on Monday, July 21, 2025, following a temporary suspension due to overwhelming traffic on the system.

In a statement, the Board urged applicants who had already started their applications before the interruption to retrieve and complete their submissions once the system is back online.

“Applicants who have successfully initiated their applications are advised to retrieve and finalize their submissions,” the CDCFIB said.

The agency explained that the pause was necessary to upgrade the portal’s capacity to handle the high volume of applications. This enhancement aims to provide all prospective candidates with seamless access to the platform, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted application process.

“We sincerely apologize for the temporary disruption. Given the high volume of applications, it was essential to improve the system to accommodate all users and facilitate a transparent, fair, and efficient recruitment process,” the statement added.

The Board also reminded the public that the entire recruitment process is free at every stage and cautioned applicants against fraudsters posing as recruitment agents.

Prospective candidates can access the portal starting July 21, 2025, at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng to continue or complete their applications.

The CDCFIB manages recruitment into key paramilitary agencies, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigerian Immigration Service.

This announcement follows the recent temporary shutdown of the portal for optimization, which had raised concerns among applicants about meeting submission deadlines.
