Everton have completed the signing of Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Mark Travers from Bournemouth in a deal reportedly worth £4 million ($5.3 million), the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the Premier League side, who are set to begin the upcoming season in their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
“I’m extremely proud and excited to be an Everton player,” said Travers. “From the moment I arrived, I could feel the size of this club and the weight of its history.
“You sense it through the passionate fanbase, the incredible new stadium, and the direction the club is heading. It’s a really exciting time to be part of this massive football club, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Travers made 82 appearances during a nine-year spell with Bournemouth. At Everton, he will provide competition for England No. 1 Jordan Pickford in David Moyes’ squad.
