President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of additional members to the governing councils of federal universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across Nigeria.
The appointments, announced on Wednesday by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, are part of the government’s effort to reflect federal character and ensure broad representation across all regions. They take immediate effect.
The newly appointed council members span 36 federal institutions nationwide and complement earlier appointments made for the University of Abuja, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka.
