2023 LP Governorship Candidate in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Lagos State during the 2023 general elections, has launched a new mobile app, “Our Lagos,” aimed at providing economic opportunities and policy information to residents of the state.

Speaking at an event coinciding with the second anniversary of the 2023 elections, Rhodes-Vivour reflected on the election’s controversies, highlighting allegations of voter suppression and violence in several parts of Lagos. He noted that both international and local observers documented incidents that raised significant concerns about the election process.

The “Our Lagos” app is designed to give users access to a variety of resources, including grants, skills development programs, job opportunities, and detailed information about Rhodes-Vivour’s policy proposals for Lagos State.

Describing the initiative as “a practical tool to empower those who believe in a better Lagos,” Rhodes-Vivour emphasized that the app represents more than just politics. “This is not about politics as usual,” he stated. “It’s about offering a different approach to leadership—one that is focused on service, accountability, and genuinely improving lives.”

He also highlighted the purpose of the grants, saying, “These aren’t handouts—they are investments in your potential, in your dreams, and in our collective future.”
