Greenpeg, a leading provider of industrial automation and safety solutions in West Africa, has officially launched the region’s largest Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) Hub in Lagos, Nigeria. This landmark achievement is a major step forward for the industrial sector, highlighting efforts to reduce reliance on foreign expertise and bolster local capabilities.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held in Lagos, was attended by a distinguished group of officials, including the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, who represented the Governor. Honourable Olatubosun Alake, Commissioner of Innovation, Science, and Technology, also graced the event, along with key representatives from Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Pepperl+Fuchs, emphasizing the significance of this milestone.

A Game-Changing Solution for Africa’s Industrial Sector
For decades, Africa’s industrial sector has heavily depended on foreign expertise for critical systems like ICSS, often resulting in costly delays and inefficiencies. Greenpeg’s new state-of-the-art ICSS Hub aims to transform this landscape by providing end-to-end services, including the design, installation, and maintenance of control panels, switchgear, and safety systems locally. This investment will significantly reduce reliance on external vendors, boosting efficiency and cost-effectiveness for businesses across the region.

In his remarks at the ceremony, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State stated, “This initiative marks a transformative moment for industrial development in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.”

Fostering Innovation and Skills Development in West Africa
The ICSS Hub, a multi-million-dollar investment, stands as a testament to Greenpeg’s commitment to driving innovation, advancing skills development, and facilitating technology transfer in Africa. Through the establishment of this facility, Greenpeg aims to accelerate technological progress and create training opportunities for local professionals, further contributing to the region’s growth.
