The Anambra State Government has demolished a notorious hideout used by kidnappers as part of its ongoing efforts to combat criminal activities in the South-Eastern state.
The building, which masqueraded as a hotel, was reportedly used for kidnappings and other illicit activities. Located along the Onitsha-Owerri Road in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area, the property has been a focal point of criminal operations.
The demolition was confirmed in a statement released by the Anambra State New Media via its X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday. The government identified the building as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known locally as “La Cruise Hotel.”
The statement further revealed that the hotel contained over 30 well-partitioned graves, adding to the chilling nature of its operations.
