Erling Haaland has committed his future to Manchester City with a landmark 9.5-year contract, keeping him at the Etihad until 2034, the Premier League champions announced on Friday.

The 24-year-old striker’s previous contract was set to expire in June 2027, but he has now pledged to stay with the club for the next decade.

Since joining City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland has made an impressive impact, scoring 111 goals in 126 appearances for the club.

“I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to look forward to spending even more time at this great club,” Haaland said. “Manchester City is a special place, with fantastic people and amazing supporters, creating an environment that helps bring out the best in everyone.”

City’s outgoing Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, expressed his delight over Haaland’s new deal: “Everyone at the club is absolutely thrilled that Erling has signed his new contract. His long-term commitment demonstrates both our dedication to him as a player and his love for the club. His remarkable impact speaks for itself, and his incredible numbers and records are a testament to his quality.”
