Monaco head coach Adi Hütter has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until June 2027, the Ligue 1 side announced on Saturday.
The 54-year-old Austrian, who joined Monaco in the summer of 2023, led the team to a second-place finish in his first season, securing Champions League qualification. His initial contract was set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season.
“I am very happy and proud to be part of this project,” Hütter said after committing to an extended stay at the Stade Louis II.
Currently third in Ligue 1, Monaco are also on track to advance to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
On Sunday, Hütter will have the opportunity to secure his first piece of silverware with Monaco when his side faces Paris Saint-Germain in the French Champions Trophy.
Since taking over, Hütter has been praised for his attacking style of play and for promoting young talent from Monaco’s academy to the first team. His win rate over 60 matches in all competitions stands at nearly 60 percent.
Before joining Monaco, Hütter coached RB Salzburg in Austria, Swiss side Young Boys, and Bundesliga clubs Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
