Dollar to Naira exchange rate today, September 25, 2026

Nigerian naira maintained relative stability against the US dollar across both the official and parallel foreign exchange markets on Friday, September 25, 2026, as balanced supply and demand continued to support market conditions.

At the official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), intra-day trading opened at around ₦1,326.00 per US dollar, fluctuating between ₦1,325.82 and ₦1,327.00 before settling near ₦1,326.06.

The rate followed the previous session’s official closing rate of ₦1,328.00/$1, indicating relatively stable foreign exchange liquidity.

In the parallel market, currency traders in major commercial centres, including Lagos and Abuja, quoted the dollar at about ₦1,370/$1 for buying and between ₦1,374/$1 and ₦1,380/$1 for selling.

The difference between the official NFEM rate and the parallel-market rate stood at approximately ₦46 to ₦54 per dollar, indicating a relatively narrow gap between the two market segments.

At the prevailing parallel-market rate, $100 would cost about ₦137,400, while $1,000 would exchange for approximately ₦1,374,000.

At the official rate of ₦1,326.06/$1, $1,000 would be worth about ₦1,326,060.

Market analysts attributed the relative stability to recent policy measures by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and improved foreign-exchange liquidity.

Market operators expect trading to remain relatively stable as supply continues to meet immediate demand for foreign currency.
