Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, for her boldness and adventurous spirit, which he said have contributed to her achievements.
Governor Eno gave the commendation on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, when he received Baci, an indigene of Akwa Ibom State, at the Government House in Uyo.
The governor said Baci’s success story demonstrated how determination, courage and perseverance could help individuals overcome barriers and achieve remarkable feats.
He also praised her for bringing recognition to Akwa Ibom through her culinary achievements and encouraged her to continue promoting the state.
Speaking with the Government House Press Corps after the meeting, Baci described the pace of infrastructural development, peaceful atmosphere and investment opportunities in Akwa Ibom as remarkable.
She commended Governor Eno’s leadership and described the state as “amazingly beautiful.”
Baci expressed particular admiration for the facilities at Victor Attah International Airport, describing the infrastructure as first-class and impressive.
The chef also praised the hospitality and industrious nature of the people of Akwa Ibom, and pledged to collaborate with relevant stakeholders where necessary to contribute to the state’s development.
She encouraged tourists and investors to visit Akwa Ibom and explore its environmental, recreational, hospitality and other investment opportunities.
The Guinness World Record holder further urged the people of Akwa Ibom to promote love, unity and peace as part of efforts to sustain the state’s development.
