Ciara announces fifth pregnancy with husband Russell

US singer Ciara is expecting her fifth child with her husband, former NFL quarterback Russell Wilson.

The 40-year-old Grammy-winning singer and Wilson, 37, announced the pregnancy in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, sharing photos and videos of Ciara displaying her baby bump.

“One more person to Love,” the couple captioned the post.

In one of the photos, the couple posed outdoors beside four shirts hanging on a clothesline, with a blank baby onesie symbolising the newest addition to their family. They also posed together holding up five fingers in a nod to their fifth child.

Ciara and Wilson are parents to daughters Sienna Princess and Amora Princess, and son Win Harrison. Ciara also has a son, Future Zahir, from her previous relationship with rapper Future.

The announcement comes as Ciara continues to balance motherhood with her music career. In a 2024 interview with PEOPLE, she spoke about bringing her children along while touring.

“My kids travelled with me, and I couldn’t have done it any other way,” she said, according to the Times of India.

“It was the most amazing time with my babies. I was like, ‘This is what life is about.’ So, the little joys in life. I’m so grateful,” she added.

Ciara and Wilson married in 2016 and have since built a blended family.

The forthcoming baby will be Ciara’s fifth child and her fourth with Wilson.

Wilson announced his retirement from professional football in June following a 14-season career as an NFL quarterback.
