The final batch of Nigerians evacuated from South Africa amid renewed xenophobic tensions has arrived in Lagos.
The evacuees arrived aboard an Air Peace flight, which touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at about 11:28 a.m.
The latest arrival marks the completion of the government-led evacuation exercise, which saw hundreds of Nigerians brought back from South Africa following concerns over xenophobia-related attacks and rising tensions.
The Federal Government had earlier organised six evacuation flights as part of efforts to assist Nigerians seeking to return home amid the security concerns.
