The Nigeria Police Force has rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, alive during a late-night operation carried out on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at about 7:30 p.m.
Police sources said the operation also led to the neutralisation of two suspected kidnappers during a gun duel with operatives. Two firearms were recovered from the gang.
The victims, who include the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, were abducted at about 7:30 a.m. on June 3, 2026, while they were on their way to drop the children at school.
According to security sources, sustained intelligence-led tracking and tactical pressure forced the kidnappers into a confrontation with police operatives, resulting in the successful rescue.
Search operations are still ongoing in surrounding areas as security forces comb for fleeing members of the kidnapping syndicate, some of whom are believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds.
