Four of Nigeria’s biggest music stars — Davido, Burna Boy, Rema and Ayra Starr — have been featured on the official soundtrack album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The artistes were unveiled as part of a star-studded lineup announced by FIFA Sound ahead of the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
FIFA confirmed the lineup in a post on X on Tuesday, unveiling the artistes set to appear on the official album scheduled for release on June 5.
“The squad for the Official #FIFAWorldCup 2026™ Album is here! Pre-save for the album release on June 5. Stay tuned for more to come,” the organisation wrote.
According to the tracklist released by FIFA Sound, the Nigerian stars will feature alongside global acts, further highlighting Afrobeats’ growing influence on the international music scene.
The tracklist shows Rema featured on Goals alongside Lisa and Anitta, while Davido appears on No Place Like Home with Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado. Ayra Starr is featured on Show Me with Latto, and Burna Boy appears on Dai Dai alongside Shakira.
Other tracks on the album include Game Time by Future and Tyla; Illuminate by Jessie Reyez and Elyanna; Echo by Daddy Yankee and Shenseea; Por Ella by Los Ángeles Azules and Belinda; and Three Nations by 21 Savage, Nata Cano and French Montana.
Additional songs include In the Stars (Remix) by The Rolling Stones, Mi Mexico Lindo by Alejandro Fernández, Blessings by Stormzy, Fridayy and Angel, Energy by Ava Max and Bia, Lighter by Jelly Roll and Carín León, Siir Siir by Nora Fatehi, Vegedream and Sanjoy, Partidazo by Danny Ocean, Champion by IShowSpeed, and Love Always Wins by Shaggy, Cimafunk and Zema.
The album will be released via FIFA Sound and Universal Music on June 5 and will be available on major streaming platforms as well as physical formats.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will run from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Mexico and Canada, featuring an expanded 48-team format and 104 matches.
Mexico will face South Africa in the opening match at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on June 11, while Canada and the United States will begin their campaigns a day later in Toronto and Los Angeles respectively.
The final will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19.
