Students of the University of Ibadan have staged a peaceful protest over the disruption of essential services on campus following the ongoing strike by the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU).
The students called on the Federal Government to urgently address the union’s demands to bring an end to the industrial action.
Demonstrators marched across the campus in Ibadan, demanding the immediate restoration of basic amenities such as electricity, water, and other critical services largely handled by non-academic staff.
They decried the hardship caused by the strike, noting that the shutdown of key services has significantly disrupted academic and daily activities.
The students urged the government to engage the striking union in meaningful dialogue to resolve the impasse and restore normalcy to the institution.
