Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced that he will headline and curate his first-ever UK festival, Davido & Friends, scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Crystal Palace Bowl in South London.
The Grammy-nominated singer made the announcement on Monday via social media, calling the event a milestone.
“Yo, my people of London, it’s your boy Davido. I know you guys have been feeling left out, but guess what? For the first time ever, I present to you Davido & Friends. This will be my only outdoor show in London this summer. We’ll be taking over the Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14, so make sure you get your friends down. London, I’ll see you soon,” the 33-year-old said.
The festival is part of the newly launched Palace Bowl Presents series, the first of its kind at the historic venue, which will run from July 31 to August 16, 2026. Davido will headline a full-day event on August 14 and will also curate the festival lineup.
While supporting acts, referred to as his “friends”, are yet to be revealed, expectations are high that the lineup will feature several of his Afrobeats collaborators and international artists.
The Crystal Palace Bowl, an iconic open-air amphitheatre with a capacity of around 15,000, has hosted legendary performances since the 1960s and recently underwent upgrades to restore its status as a major live music destination in London.
Other confirmed headliners in the Palace Bowl Presents series include Grace Jones, Tom Jones, Gary Numan, and Bastille.
Ticket sales for Davido & Friends are set to begin later this week, with presale access opening Thursday, March 26, followed by general sales on Friday, March 27.
The announcement comes months after Davido concluded his 5IVE Tour in 2025, performing across multiple African and European cities, including Akwa Ibom, Adamawa, Enugu, Ibadan, and Lagos between October and December.
Widely regarded as one of Afrobeats’ leading figures, Davido’s London festival is a major milestone for the genre, highlighting its continued global expansion in premier UK live music venues. Further details, including the full lineup, will be announced in the coming weeks.
