English champions Chelsea dominated Paris FC 4–0 on Wednesday in their second matchday of the Women’s Champions League. Goals came from Sandy Baltimore (penalty), Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Alyssa Thompson, and Erin Cuthbert.

Barcelona matched that scoreline with a 4–0 win over Roma. Esmee Brugts opened the scoring in the second minute, followed by Kika Nazareth. Two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas converted a 71st-minute penalty before Caroline Graham Hansen sealed the win at the whistle.

Record eight-time champions Lyon eased past Austria’s St. Pölten 3–0. Jule Brand and Lily Yohannes netted their first goals for the club, either side of a strike from Ada Hegerberg, who extended her record to 67 goals in 77 UEFA appearances.

Wolfsburg, two-time champions, edged Norwegian side Vålerenga 2–1. Lineth Beerensteyn opened the scoring before Sara Hørte equalised. Janina Minge converted a penalty in the eighth minute of extra time to secure the win.

In the final game of the night, Leuven stunned Twente 2–1. Jaimy Ravensbergen had given the Dutch side the lead, but Linde Veefkind equalised with an 83rd-minute penalty. Sara Pusztai then netted the dramatic winner six minutes into stoppage time.

This season’s revamped format features 18 teams playing six matches each in a single league phase. The top four teams advance directly to the quarter-finals, while those ranked 5th–12th will enter a play-off for the remaining spots.
