The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has suspended its nationwide strike.
PENGASSAN President, Festus Osifo, announced the decision at a press conference in Abuja, following a meeting with the National Security Adviser and Dangote Refinery management.
He acknowledged unresolved “grey areas” in the communiqué, noting that both the government and the refinery failed to provide full clarity.
Despite these concerns, Osifo said the strike was suspended in good faith. However, he warned that PENGASSAN would resume industrial action without notice if Dangote Refinery fails to honour the agreement.
