President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for Paris, France, ahead of a trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the departure in a statement on Wednesday. He noted that the visit to France is for private purposes and will also serve as a stopover en route to the Ethiopian capital.

In Addis Ababa, President Tinubu is scheduled to attend the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 38th Ordinary Session of the African Union Heads of State Assembly, which will take place from February 12-16, 2025.

During his time in France, President Tinubu is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. He will then proceed to Addis Ababa early next week for the African Union summit.
