Governor Monday Okpebholo has formally assented to a revised supplementary budget of N485 billion, which was recently passed by the Edo State House of Assembly.
The governor signed the budget on Monday in Benin City, the state capital.
During the signing ceremony, Governor Okpebholo expressed his gratitude to the lawmakers for their swift approval of the bill. He commended their prompt action, noting that it would enable the state government to expedite the execution of key development projects.
The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Blessing Agbebaku, led a delegation of lawmakers to the Government House for the occasion. Agbebaku explained that the assembly’s fast-tracked passage of the supplementary budget, presented just days earlier on Wednesday, was driven by their desire to ensure the timely commencement of government projects across the state.
