The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released an adjusted timetable for its nationwide congresses, national convention, and other related activities ahead of the 2026 general elections.
In an official notice posted on its X handle on Friday titled “Adjusted APC 2026 Schedule of Nationwide Congresses, National Convention and Related Activities”, the ruling party stated that the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will be available for purchase and collection at the Directorate of Organisation, 2nd Floor, APC National Secretariat, No. 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja. The party emphasized that only forms obtained from the Directorate at the national secretariat will be considered valid.
The APC said the revised timelines had been reviewed and updated to meet the party’s organisational requirements and to ensure smooth and transparent processes across all states. The updated schedule is intended to guide the party’s internal elections, nomination processes, and preparatory activities ahead of the general elections.
In a separate post on its X account, the APC also announced adjustments to its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, including changes to its leadership and membership to reflect zoning considerations. The revisions are aimed at ensuring fair representation and compliance with internal zoning arrangements ahead of the convention.
The adjustments come as the APC prepares to stage its national convention in 2026, a pivotal event in the party’s calendar that will shape its organisational structure and strategic direction leading up to the general elections. The party stressed that the revised timetable and committee structures are part of its broader efforts to strengthen internal democracy and conduct all activities in a structured and orderly manner.
