American rapper Nicki Minaj has revealed that she received a Trump Gold Card, a document linked to fast-tracked US citizenship, after publicly praising former President Donald Trump.

The Trump Gold Card is part of a US immigration programme introduced under the Trump administration that offers wealthy foreign nationals an expedited path to permanent residency and eventual citizenship in exchange for a minimum investment of around $1 million and a processing fee.

However, Minaj claimed she received her card “free of charge.”

She shared the news on X on Wednesday, posting a photo of the gold-coloured card and hinting that her citizenship process is already underway.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Minaj has lived in the United States for years and has previously confirmed she is a legal permanent resident, though not yet a citizen.

Her open support for Trump and revelation about her citizenship process have reignited debate on social media.
