The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two teenagers for allegedly sexually molesting minors in the Tilde Fulani Community of Toro Local Government Area.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Nafiu Habib disclosed the development in a statement on Thursday, saying a concerned father reported that his eight-year-old son was lured with sweets and tiger nuts by 16-year-old Mohammed Saifullahi, who allegedly engaged the child in repeated homosexual acts.

“Upon receiving the report on January 8, 2026, detectives were immediately dispatched to the scene. The suspect was arrested, and the victim was taken to a hospital for medical examination,” Habib said.

According to the statement, during interrogation, Saifullahi admitted to committing the acts over the past three years and implicated 17-year-old Shaibu Sulaiman as his mentor. Sulaiman has also been arrested.

The preliminary investigation reportedly revealed that Saifullahi had sexually abused four other minors between the ages of seven and ten. Sulaiman explained that his own involvement began after sharing a bed with Saifullahi, which led to the first incident.

Habib noted that both suspects confessed to the offences. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be profiled and charged in court upon completion of the inquiry.

The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, condemned the acts, warning that anyone engaging in such behavior will face the full force of the law. He urged parents and guardians to be vigilant about the whereabouts of their children.
