Chelsea on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of Liam Rosenior as their new head coach, replacing Enzo Maresca.
The Premier League club announced that the 41-year-old former Strasbourg manager has signed a contract running until 2032.
“I am extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed,” Rosenior said in a statement released by the club. “Chelsea is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies. My responsibility is to protect that identity and build a team that reflects those values in every game as we continue to compete for honours.”
Rosenior had earlier described the role as “an opportunity I cannot turn down” while speaking at Strasbourg on Tuesday.
He takes charge of a Chelsea side currently sitting fifth in the Premier League table.
