Justice Mariam Hassan of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Gwarinpa has directed that former Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, continue to enjoy the administrative bail previously granted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The court, however, stipulated that Ngige must present a surety who is a director in a Federal Government employment and owns landed property.
The surety is required to submit documents verifying ownership of the property, as well as travel documents, to the court while the retrieval of Ngige’s passport is being finalised.
The EFCC had initially granted Ngige bail on self-recognition, with the condition that he present his travel document to the commission along with one suitable surety.
