The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed the Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), Michael Ango.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.
According to the statement, the most senior official at the FCT-IRS has been directed to immediately assume responsibility for running the revenue agency.
“The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has sacked the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), Mr. Michael Ango,” the statement said.
However, the statement did not disclose the reason for Ango’s removal.
