Ex-Chief of Defence Staff Musa meets Tinubu in Aso Villa

Immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa.
Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, held a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday evening.

Our correspondent observed Musa arriving at the State House at 7:03 pm, accompanied by a senior security official, before being escorted to the President’s office.

Dressed in dark-green traditional northern attire with elbow-length sleeves, Musa met the President publicly for the first time since his retirement on October 24, 2025. The purpose of the meeting has not been disclosed.

The meeting comes amid heightened security concerns in northern Nigeria, including the recent abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi, an attack on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara, and the kidnapping of Catholic schoolchildren in Minna. Security agencies are intensifying counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping operations across the North-West and North-Central regions.
