Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued his red-hot form in Europe, netting a first-half brace to lead Galatasaray to a 3–1 victory over Bodo/Glimt on Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League group stage on Wednesday.
Osimhen opened the scoring just three minutes in, slotting home a composed right-footed finish after being played through by Mario Lemina. He doubled the lead in the 33rd minute, punishing a costly defensive error by Fredrik Andre Bjorkan to give the Turkish giants a firm grip on the match.
Yunus Akgün added a third for Galatasaray in the 60th minute, capping off a dominant performance. Bodo/Glimt managed a consolation goal in the 74th minute through Andreas Helmersen, but it was too little, too late for the Norwegian side.
Osimhen’s brace extended his incredible run to seven consecutive European matches with a goal — a new milestone for a Galatasaray player — bringing his total Champions League tally to 11 goals.
The win keeps Galatasaray firmly in contention in a tightly contested group.
