The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the nominees for the 2025 CAF Awards in the women’s categories.
According to a statement on CAF’s website released Friday, ten players, teams, and coaches have been shortlisted for honours including African Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, National Team of the Year, Club of the Year, and Young Player of the Year.
In the African Player of the Year category, Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade and Esther Okoronkwo join current African best player Barbara Banda, along with Portia Boakye, Tabitha Chawinga, Ghizlane Chebbak, Mama Diop, Sanaa Mssoudy, Temwa Chawinga, and Rachael Kundananji on the list.
