The US Supreme Court on Wednesday blocked President Donald Trump from immediately removing Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook and announced it will hear the case concerning her dismissal in January 2026.

In its order, the Court said it had “deferred” the request for her removal “pending oral argument,” effectively allowing Cook to remain in office until the case is formally heard.
