President Bola Tinubu has approved the construction of two 300-capacity hostels for the Nigerian Law School, Abuja, as well as the development of a key access road to the Body of Benchers Secretariat in Jabi District.
The President directed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to immediately commence work on the projects, which are to be executed under emergency provisions, according to a statement issued Tuesday by the minister’s media aide, Lere Olayinka.
The hostel project will consist of a 300-bed female hostel and a 300-bed male hostel within the Nigerian Law School’s Abuja campus, aimed at improving accommodation for law students.
In addition, a new road linking the Body of Benchers Secretariat to Nile University will be constructed. The route is expected to ease traffic congestion in the area, particularly around the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
