President Bola Tinubu on Monday received Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara at the State House in Abuja, marking their first publicly known meeting since Fubara’s reinstatement last Thursday.
The visit comes days after the end of a six-month political crisis and a state of emergency in Rivers State, which saw tensions between rival factions in the state’s leadership.
The Telegraph gathered that the closed-door meeting began around 7:00 p.m., with Governor Fubara seen entering the President’s office wing at the Villa.
Details of the discussions are yet to be disclosed as of press time.
