Three housemates — Big Soso, Ivatar, and Doris have been evicted from the ongoing Big Brother Naija Season 10, reducing the number of contestants in the house to 19, from an initial 29.
Sunday’s live eviction show, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu in Lagos, also featured Biggie announcing Kaybobo as the most influential housemate of Week 6, based on votes from fellow contestants.
Big Soso was the first to be evicted. On stage, she joked about gaining weight during her stay in the house, saying some of her clothes no longer fit.
When asked about her motherly role in the house, she acknowledged her nurturing nature, attributing it to being the only girl among six brothers. She added that many of the male housemates lacked maternal or sisterly figures in their lives, which made them naturally gravitate toward her. “I didn’t force them. They just came to me,” she said.
Doris was also evicted and expressed surprise at her departure. “I’m shocked because there are people in that house who aren’t as talented or fun as I am,” she said. When asked to name those housemates, she declined to answer.
Speaking about her connection with fellow housemate Denari, Doris described him affectionately and admitted she’s drawn to dark-skinned men, as opposed to lighter-skinned ones.
Ivatar was the third housemate evicted on the night, finishing at the bottom of the viewer vote chart with the least number of votes.
During the show, Imisi declined to speak about Joanna when prompted, citing nerves and saying she was “too tense” to comment.
Host Ebuka closed the show with a stern reminder to housemates, urging them to stop treating the show like a performance. He encouraged them to be authentic and open, instead of waiting for the live eviction shows to address personal or house-related issues.
“Say what you need to say during the week. Don’t wait until Sunday night,” he warned.
