Multichoice Nigeria, organisers of the Big Brother Naija reality show, on Friday evening announced a temporary suspension of the show’s broadcast due to a power-related issue.
In a statement posted on its official Instagram handle, the company assured viewers that all housemates are safe while technical teams work to restore normal transmission.
“We’re currently experiencing a temporary break in Big Brother Naija transmission due to a power issue. Rest assured, the housemates are safe and sound. Our technical team is working swiftly to restore power and normal service. Thank you for your patience,” the statement read.
Adding a touch of humour, the organisers encouraged fans to “grab a snack, stretch your legs,” and promised that “premium entertainment” would resume shortly.
This season marks the 10th edition of the immensely popular reality show, which premiered on Saturday, July 26. Housemates are currently competing for the grand prize of ₦150 million.
