The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed all candidates who uploaded their O’Level results prior to the official release of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results to return to accredited centres and re-upload their final results.
This directive was announced in an official bulletin shared via the Board’s X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday.
JAMB explained that it had cleared all previously uploaded O’Level results from its system to prevent confusion in the ongoing admission process.
According to the statement: “Candidates who sat the UTME with ‘awaiting results’ status are required to upload their O’Level results once available. However, many candidates began uploading their WAEC 2025 SSCE results before the official release. To ensure clarity and accuracy in admissions, the Board has cleared all earlier uploads. All candidates must now re-upload their results—regardless of whether there are changes or not.”
The Board emphasized that failure to comply with this directive could impact a candidate’s eligibility for admission.
“Please re-upload your 2025 SSCE result to the JAMB portal without delay,” the bulletin urged.
The announcement has triggered mixed reactions from candidates, many of whom had rushed to upload their results earlier in line with admission timelines.
In response to a query from an X user, @Ndukaphilip43644, about the status of results uploaded before verification procedures were implemented, JAMB reaffirmed its stance, stating: “You’re advised to please visit any of our accredited facilities to verify your result. Thank you.”
Candidates are therefore advised to promptly visit any accredited JAMB centre nationwide to re-upload their final WAEC results and avoid disruptions in their admission processing.
