BBN S10: Sabrina exits house on medical grounds

BBN season 10 housemate Sabrina Idukpaye
Sabrina Idukpaye, one of the housemates in the ongoing Big Brother Naija ‘Ten Over Ten season’, has made a sudden and unexpected exit from the show due to medical reasons.

The announcement was made via an official post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday by the show’s organisers.

“Sabrina, one of the housemates in the Big Brother Naija Ten Over Ten season, has been exited from the House on medical grounds,” the post read.

According to the statement, the decision followed consultations with Big Brother and the on-site medical team, who recommended that she leave the house for further medical evaluation. The show’s producers reiterated their commitment to the safety and well-being of all housemates.

“Prior to this, she had a consultation with Big Brother and the on-site medical team, where it was decided that she had to leave the House for a more thorough medical investigation,” the statement continued. “MultiChoice and the show producers are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all housemates in the Big Brother House at all times.”

Sabrina, a 32-year-old Edo native and alumna of the London School of Economics, broke the news of her departure to her fellow housemates shortly before leaving.

“I am leaving the house today. I have to pack right now. I am leaving for medical reasons. I don’t know whether I am coming back; I can’t answer that. I have only 20 minutes to pack. You guys should kill this in my honour,” she said.

Though the specific medical condition prompting her exit was not disclosed, fans have since flooded social media with an outpouring of support and well-wishes for a speedy recovery.

Known for her vibrant personality and striking presence, Sabrina had described herself at the start of the show as “layered, sensual and smart, focused, spiritual and bold.” A trained actor and former model, she quickly became a fan favourite for her energy and authenticity.

Her departure comes just days after she delivered a standout performance at Thursday’s runway challenge and brought electrifying energy to the house pool party.

Meanwhile, during Sunday’s live eviction show, Danboskid (Daniel Olatunji) and Ibifubara Davies became the first housemates to be evicted from the season after receiving the lowest percentage of votes—0.65% and 0.325% respectively. Denari narrowly escaped elimination.

Following the evictions, Tracy emerged as the interim Head of House for Week 3, defeating Denari, Kaybobo, Mensan, and Jason Jae in a rigorous three-stage challenge. However, under a new twist, she must defend her title in a special HoH challenger match on Monday, where another housemate could potentially take her place.

The BBNaija ‘Ten Over Ten’ season launched with a two-day opening event on July 26 and 27, introducing a total of 29 contestants. This year’s winner will walk away with a grand prize of ₦150 million—the biggest in the show’s history.
