In a remarkable display of endurance, creativity, and determination, a young Nigerian visual artist known as Holiveah has completed a bold Guinness World Record attempt for the longest marathon painting by an individual, clocking in at an astonishing 168 consecutive hours over seven straight days.
The marathon, which began on July 21 and concluded at exactly 1:50 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, captivated art lovers and cultural enthusiasts across Nigeria and beyond.

Originally aiming for 150 hours, Holiveah surpassed her goal by an additional 18 hours, pushing through exhaustion and creative fatigue in a powerful testament to discipline and determination.
The Bonny Island native, while speaking to Channels Television said, “This wasn’t just about breaking a record. It was about proving that consistency, creativity, and courage can open doors globally—especially for African women.”
Her paint-a-thon was more than a personal challenge. It doubled as a cultural showcase, reflecting Nigeria’s rich artistic heritage through vibrant visual storytelling. Her works explored themes such as hope, resilience, African pride, and youth empowerment.
