BBNaija Season 10: Meet the 15 female housemates unveiled

The highly anticipated Big Brother Naija reality show has returned for its 10th season, kicking off a 71-day run filled with entertainment, rivalry, and high-stakes drama.

Since its inception, the show has featured 197 contestants—187 real housemates and 10 fake ones—spanning 709 days of non-stop entertainment. Over 3,000 crew members have contributed to the production, and a total of ₦637 million has been won across nine seasons by previous winners.

This year, the prize money has skyrocketed to ₦150 million, though producers hint at a potential twist. Nationwide watch parties for super fans, sponsored by Multichoice and DStv, will also take place every Sunday, with more details to come.

Season 10 features a historic double launch, starting Saturday, July 26, and continuing Sunday, July 27, 2025. The show airs on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Family, DStv Channel 198, GOtv Channel 49, and streams on Showmax.

In a first for BBNaija, the season kicked off with 15 dynamic female housemates, showcasing diverse backgrounds—from DJs and entrepreneurs to actors and psychologists. Each woman brings a distinct energy, from Gigi Jasmine, the bold Nigerian-American DJ and single mom, to Imisi, the fashion designer known for her fierce authenticity.

Other standout contestants include:

  • Ivatar, a 37-year-old TV host and DJ with South African roots
  • Zita, a creative UNILAG student with a “YOLO” attitude
  • Big Soso, a chef-lawyer and charity founder from Kaduna
  • Sultana, a plus-size model and travel enthusiast from Adamawa
  • Dede, a competitive 23-year-old with strong family values
  • Doris, a fiery 34-year-old radio presenter and writer
  • Joanna, a 21-year-old pageant queen with a bold voice
  • Isabella, a grounded 29-year-old actress and mother
  • Thelma Lawson, a loud, confident skincare entrepreneur
  • Ibifubara, a psychologist passionate about mental health
  • Sabrina, a TEDx speaker and Vogue model with global flair
  • Tracy, a free spirit with a fierce edge

During the launch, the show also paid tribute to late former housemate Rico Swavey, who passed away in 2022 following a road accident.

Speaking to The Guardian, Tope Oshinkeye, Executive Head of Marketing at Multichoice West Africa, said the all-female debut was a strategic twist. “It’s amazing to see the competition among same-gender contestants,” he noted. “This season promises to be extraordinary.”

The male housemates will be introduced in the second part of the launch on Sunday, July 27, as BBNaija’s “10/10” season continues to raise the stakes.
