Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested Mkor Aondona, Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Documentation, Research, and Planning, over allegations of sextortion, cyberbullying, and blackmail.
Aondona was apprehended on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Makurdi, following multiple complaints from female students who accused him of engaging in unethical and criminal conduct involving sexual exploitation.
According to the petitioners, the governor’s aide allegedly lured young, slim, and attractive women—often students—under the guise of offering ushering jobs, demanding sexual favours as a precondition for selection.
They further alleged that Aondona secretly recorded their intimate encounters without consent and used the footage to coerce them into continued sexual relations, threatening to leak the videos if they refused.
The suspect is also accused of distributing explicit videos via various messaging platforms, with some of the footage reportedly already in circulation.
The EFCC said Aondona will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
