Nigeria beats Jamaica 5-4 on penalties to win Unity Cup

The Super Eagles of Nigeria clinched the 2025 Unity Cup in London on Saturday, edging Jamaica 5–4 on penalties after a 2–2 draw in regulation time.

Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze each scored for Nigeria in either half before the match went to a shootout, where the Super Eagles converted all five spot kicks to seal victory at Brentford Community Stadium.

The tournament, which featured Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago, was organized to promote unity and cultural pride among African and Caribbean diasporas in London.

This edition marked the tournament’s return after a two-decade hiatus, with Nigeria now three-time champions, having also won in 2002 and 2004.
