Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has approved the immediate dismissal of the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprian Akaolisa.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba.
According to the statement, Akaolisa has been instructed to hand over all government property in his possession to the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice without delay.
No reason was provided for the Attorney General’s removal, and the statement did not elaborate on the circumstances behind the decision.
