The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 120 individuals suspected of internet fraud in Lagos State.

In a statement released on Monday via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Commission said the arrests were made by operatives from the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 during raids conducted across multiple locations in the state.

The operation also led to the seizure of 26 exotic vehicles, luxury jewelry, mobile phones, laptops, and several incriminating documents linked to cybercrime activity.

Among those arrested were 95 males and 25 females, apprehended based on credible intelligence and sustained surveillance related to alleged cyber-related offenses.

The EFCC stated that all suspects are currently undergoing further investigation and will be formally charged in court once the investigative process is complete.
