On Monday, governors from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) paid a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna.

The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, arrived to extend warm Sallah greetings to the former president and congratulate him on the successful completion of Ramadan.

Speaking to the press after the visit, Uzodinma emphasized the symbolic nature of the gesture, noting that it was deeply rooted in respect, loyalty, and admiration for Buhari’s statesmanship, leadership, and the lasting legacy he left behind. According to a statement from the Director-General of Press Affairs in the Gombe Government House, Ismaila Misilli, Uzodinma said, “As a party, we remain united and committed to the ideals of good governance that President Buhari championed throughout his tenure.”

The visit also provided an opportunity for the governors to wish the former president well as he settles into his newly renovated home in Kaduna.

Among the APC governors who attended the visit were Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, alongside Hope Uzodinma of Imo, and other key governors from Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Edo, Kogi, Ondo, Ekiti, and Benue States. The Deputy Governor of Jigawa and the Minister of Budget and National Planning were also present.
