Police authorities in Ogun State have declared controversial singer Habeeb Olalomi, popularly known as Portable, wanted for allegedly leading a violent attack on government officials who were performing their lawful duties.
The announcement was made in a police gazette issued on Monday night, with details shared by the spokesperson for the State Police Command, Omolola Odutola. According to the statement, the assault occurred on February 5, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., when three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office—TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi—were conducting an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota.
During the operation, the officials encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father, at Odogwu Bar, a property connected to the singer. Upon introducing themselves and requesting the building’s approved plan, the father informed the officials that his son was unavailable.
However, shortly afterward, Portable, armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons, allegedly led a group of nine thugs in a violent attack on the unarmed officials. The officers sustained various injuries but managed to escape and report the incident to the Ota Area Command. The case was then escalated to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

Nine accomplices were arrested at the scene, but Portable managed to flee and has been in hiding ever since. Multiple formal invitations were extended to him, requesting his presence at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, but he deliberately ignored them, failing to offer any cause or legal representation for his absence.
In light of his repeated evasion, the Ogun State Police Command has obtained a valid court order declaring him wanted.
The police are urging the public to provide any useful information that could lead to Portable’s immediate arrest. Anyone found assisting or harboring the suspect will face legal consequences. Information can be reported to the nearest police station or communicated to the Ogun State Police Command through its official channels or police public relations department.
